Milind Deora criticized Aaditya Thackeray for declining a debate invitation. Deora questioned Thackeray’s commitment to democracy. He also accused Thackeray’s party of attempting to buy votes. The Maharashtra assembly elections were held on November 20. Votes were counted on November 23. In the previous assembly elections, the BJP secured 105 seats, Shiv Sena won 56, and Congress got 44 seats.
