​Drone robot designed to walk, hop, and fly like birds

EPFL’s Laboratory of Intelligent Systems developed RAVEN, a bird-inspired drone capable of walking, jumping, and flying. This 0.62 kg drone mimics avian leg and feet movements, enabling it to traverse gaps and jump onto elevated surfaces. RAVEN’s design overcomes limitations of previous robots, offering a multimodal platform for studying agile locomotion in both birds and drones.
