ED’s PFI case is like putting cart before horse: Delhi high court

The Delhi High Court granted bail to three PFI members accused of funding the 2020 anti-CAA protests and Delhi riots. The court ruled that collecting funds, even illegally, for a future offense doesn’t constitute proceeds of crime under the PMLA. The Enforcement Directorate’s case was deemed premature, as the funds were collected before the alleged crime occurred.
