Nagpur shuttler Malvika Bansod progressed to the second round of the Syed Modi India International. She defeated Poland’s Wiktoria Dabczynska. Bansod will next face Shriyanshi Valishetty. Ritika Thaker, also from Nagpur, had a tough day. She and her partner lost in both mixed and women’s doubles. Thaker and Navaneeth Bokka were defeated by an Indian pair.
