Ex-girlfriend disposes of hard drive containing Bitcoin worth Rs 5,900 crore

James Howells’s ex-girlfriend, Halfina Eddy-Evans, accidentally discarded a hard drive containing 8,000 Bitcoins (worth approximately £569 million) at a Newport landfill. Howells is suing the local council for access to the landfill, despite their refusal due to environmental concerns. He has pledged 10% of the recovered fortune towards Newport’s development.
