Suriya’s ‘Kanguva’ mints Rs 67.87 crores

Suriya’s period fantasy film, Kanguva, has underperformed at the Indian box office, earning only Rs 67.87 crores in 12 days, falling short of its Rs 70 crore target. Daily collections have dwindled to lakhs, with weak performance across Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu markets. While the film’s first week brought in Rs 64.3 crores, its future looks bleak. Facing largely mediocre reviews, Jyothika, Suriya’s wife, defended the film on Instagram, criticizing the negative press and highlighting the positive aspects, particularly the women’s action sequences and the young boy’s storyline.
