BHU cardiologists save 10-year-old girl with high-risk heart procedure
A 10-year-old girl with severe pulmonary stenosis successfully underwent a high-risk balloon pulmonary valvuloplasty at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University. The complex procedure was performed by a team of cardiologists, marking the department’s foray into regular paediatric cardiology procedures. This advancement offers a non-surgical treatment option for children with congenital heart defects.
