Transgender persons to be deployed for traffic management in Hyderabad

In a recent meeting, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy proposed employing transgender individuals as traffic volunteers in Hyderabad’s busiest areas. Reddy suggested they could assist with traffic control and ‘drunk and drive’ checks, similar to home guards. He advised officials to create a unique dress code and compensation structure comparable to home guards, aiming for a swift trial implementation.
