Kolkata: Madhyamgram clean-up module to check airport bird strikes

Madhyamgram Municipality’s efforts to clear garbage and clean drains have significantly reduced bird strike incidents at Kolkata Airport. Following this success, other surrounding civic bodies have been urged to adopt similar measures to address the issue of open garbage dumps, a major attractant for birds and a safety hazard for aircraft.
