Three-year-old Kolkata boy becomes youngest Fide-rated chess player

Anish Sarkar from Kolkata became the youngest rated chess player in history at three years, eight months, and 19 days old. He achieved his rating after several tournaments, including All Bengal Rapid Rating Open, Bengal State Under-9 Open Rating meet, and Bengal State Under-13 Open. He also played against India No. 1 Arjun Erigaisi in an exhibition match.
