US charges former Indian intelligence officer over plot to kill Sikh separatist in New York

The US has charged former Indian RAW officer Vikash Yadav for allegedly plotting to assassinate a Sikh separatist in New York City. Yadav is accused of orchestrating the plot remotely and recruiting a hitman with a $15,000 payment. India informed the US that Yadav has been removed from government service.
