China reacts to arrest of its nationals for cyber fraud in Sri Lanka

The Chinese Embassy is monitoring the arrest of over 230 Chinese nationals in Sri Lanka for alleged online fraud and visa overstaying. Due to favorable conditions, online fraud gangs have shifted operations to Sri Lanka. China and Sri Lanka are cooperating in anti-fraud efforts, with repatriation processes currently underway.
