It took 1.9 lakh litres of water to douse burning battery of Tesla in US
California firefighters needed 50,000 gallons of water to extinguish a Tesla Semi’s burning battery following a crash. This resulted in a 15-hour freeway closure. The NTSB is investigating the fire risks associated with the truck’s lithium-ion battery and will provide safety recommendations to prevent future incidents. Tesla began delivering the electric Semis in December 2022, more than three years after CEO Elon Musk announced the company would start producing the trucks.
