Actors, musician return awards; artist steps down in solidarity with docs

Actors Sanjita Mukherjee, Supriyo Datta, Debapratim Dasgupta, and musician Subhadeep B Guha returned their state awards in protest against the RG Kar crime. Artist Sanatan Dinda resigned from Rajya Charukala Parshad. Education minister Bratya Basu’s comments on the issue led to further criticism from theatre personalities such as Chandan Sen and Sudipta Chakraborty.
