Belagavi: Police issues guidelines to Ganeshotsav mandals; bans posters, portraits, songs that provoke communal harmony
The eleven-day Ganesh festival in Belagavi starts on Saturday with around 400 mandals in the city and over 3,500 across the district. Police have issued guidelines to maintain communal harmony, including bans on provocative posters, illegal electricity connections, and loud music at night. Mandals must also install CCTV cameras and ensure separate queues for men and women.
