Water Resources Department (WRD) releases 1,000 cusecs of water from Poondi Reservoir

Following increased inflow due to rainfall and discharge from the Ammapalli Reservoir, the Water Resources Department released 1,000 cusecs of water from the Poondi Reservoir. The reservoir received a total inflow of 3,500 cusecs. Authorities issued an alert to residents along the Kosasthalayar River, urging vigilance.
