Centre extends ceasefire pact with Naga insurgent group NSCN-K Niki for another year
The Indian government has extended its ceasefire agreement with the NSCN(K) faction led by Niki Sumi for another year until September 7, 2025. Initially signed in September 2021, this move supports Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a peaceful and prosperous northeast. Over 200 cadres joined the peace process when it was first signed.
