Cancer fingerprint’ can detect deadly tumours in a matter of hours; all you want to know
Researchers have discovered that different cancer types possess unique molecular fingerprints detectable at early stages. A study examined fingerprint patterns and their link to six cancers, including gynecological, oral, prostate, gastric, leukemia, and pituitary tumors. Using nanopore direct RNA sequencing, researchers analyzed rRNA molecules in fingerprints, finding that cancer cells have hypomodified rRNA.
