Himachal Pradesh Launches Rs 53.21 Crore Education Scheme for Vulnerable Families
The Himachal Pradesh government has launched the ‘Mukhya Mantri Sukh Shiksha Yojana,’ allocating Rs53.21 crore annually to support the education of children from vulnerable families, including those of widows, destitute women, and disabled parents. The scheme provides monthly grants for children under 18 and financial aid for higher education. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu emphasized the initiative’s role in protecting children from exploitation and ensuring their access to education and well-being, reflecting the government’s commitment to social welfare.
