Pregnant police constable dies due to brain fever in Chennai

A 26-year-old pregnant police constable, Menaka, died of brain fever at Kilpauk Medical College hospital. Initially admitted with dengue symptoms, she was later diagnosed with brain inflammation. Despite treatment, she succumbed on September 2. Her husband Sugumaran is also a police constable. Authorities are investigating potential water stagnation at their residence.
