‘Stand back, I’ll shoot us both’: Father holding daughter hostage shot dead by police after standoff
A man, Charles Ryan Alexander, kidnapped his daughter Oaklynn from her grandmother’s home, prompting an Amber Alert and a police chase. Alexander threatened to kill himself and his daughter during a standoff with police. Authorities eventually shot and killed Alexander, but Oaklynn was unharmed and safely returned to her family.
