Bageshwar Dham guru Pandit Dhirendra Shastri gets threats from Punjab fundamentalist

Pandit Dhirendra Shastri of Bageshwar Dham has been threatened by Punjab-based Barjinder Parwana of Damdami Taksal Jatha Rajpura, who declared that Shastri’s ‘countdown has begun’ and allegedly threatened to kill him. Parwana’s remark follows a misunderstanding regarding Shastri’s statement on Harihar Temple. A complaint has been sent to local DGPs demanding action against Parwana, while authorities consider upgrading Shastri’s security.
