How Google may have spent hundreds of millions on groups ‘targeting’ Microsoft in Europe

Google Cloud Platform offered financial incentives to CISPE, a European trade association, to continue its legal battle against Microsoft’s cloud licensing practices. Despite Google’s offer of up to €114 million, CISPE settled with Microsoft for €10-30 million. Google also filed an antitrust complaint with the European Commission.
