K’taka proposal for 10ha forest land for Kalasa deferred

The National Board for Wildlife has delayed Karnataka’s proposal to utilize 10.7 hectares of forest land from a tiger corridor for the Kalasa nullah water diversion project, citing that the issue is sub-judice. Goa has filed a case in the Supreme Court against Karnataka’s water diversion schemes impacting Mhadei tributaries.
