Mandya police arrest villager for attempting to smuggle drugs into prison

Mandya district police arrested Shivanna for attempting to smuggle marijuana into the district prison for his son, Madhusudhan. Shivanna, unknowingly carrying the contraband hidden in a bag provided by Madhusudhan’s friend, was caught during an inspection. Prison superintendent Lokesh lodged a complaint, leading to Shivanna’s arrest and a body warrant issued against Madhusudhan.
