Maryborough Meteorite: Rare space rock found in Australia by metal detectorist who thought it was gold
In 2015, David Hole discovered a 4.6 billion-year-old meteorite in Maryborough, Australia. Initially mistaking it for a gold nugget, experts later identified it as an H5 chondrite meteorite, offering rare insights into the solar system’s formation.
