Five-time Grand Slam winner Iga Swiatek handed suspension for banned substance
Iga Swiatek, a five-time Grand Slam winner, has received a one-month suspension after testing positive for a banned heart medication during an out-of-competition drug test. The International Tennis Integrity Agency determined the fault was unintentional due to melatonin medication contamination. Swiatek will return on December 4, having also forfeited her prize money from the Cincinnati Open.
