Kerala government to establish state Senior Citizen Commission

The Kerala Cabinet approved an ordinance to create a State Senior Citizen Commission. This commission will protect senior citizens’ rights and welfare, address issues like rehabilitation and social inclusion, and utilize their skills. The commission will comprise a chairperson and up to three members, all senior citizens, with ensured representation for Scheduled Castes/Tribes and women.
