BJP ally Ramadas Athawale backs Devendra Fadnavis for Maharashtra CM post

Union minister Ramadas Athawale backed Devendra Fadnavis for the Maharashtra CM post. Athawale said his party feels Fadnavis should get another opportunity, but will accept the BJP high command’s decision. Eknath Shinde, the caretaker CM, assured PM Modi he would abide by the BJP’s decision. Fadnavis is expected to meet with BJP leadership to resolve the CM impasse.
