Argentine Javier Mascherano named Inter Miami coach

Inter Miami has appointed Javier Mascherano, Lionel Messi’s former Argentina and Barcelona teammate, as their new coach. Mascherano, transitioning from coaching Argentina’s youth teams, signed a contract through 2027. This marks his first club coaching role, where he’ll manage a squad including Messi, Suarez, Alba, and Busquets. Mascherano replaces Gerardo Martino, who recently departed.
