‘Kattes of Mangaluru’: Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage exhibition celebrates sacred heritage and community spaces

INTACH Mangaluru showcased an exhibition on ‘Kattes of Mangaluru’. The exhibition displayed the importance of kattes as community spaces. A two-year documentation project recorded around 200 kattes. Environmentalist Madhav Ullal highlighted urbanisation and deforestation concerns. He stressed the need for stricter tree protection policies. The exhibition ran at Kodial Guthu Centre until Saturday.
