India’s second-oldest living cricketer Chandrakant Patankar turns 94
Former Indian Test cricketer Chandu Patankar celebrated his 94th birthday on Sunday. The wicketkeeper-batsman played one Test for India against New Zealand in 1955. While Patankar is India’s second-oldest living cricketer, he holds the distinction of being the oldest surviving Indian wicketkeeper. Following his playing career, he served as the secretary of the Cricket Club of India for several years.
