Asiad gold medallist quartermiler Vismaya fails dope test, suspended

Indian athlete VK Vismaya has been provisionally suspended for failing to submit a Therapeutic Use Exemption (TUE) for Clomiphene. Vismaya, who is pregnant, claims to have used the banned substance as a pregnancy aid. She only applied for the TUE after testing positive during an out-of-competition test. She now faces a potential ban from competition pending a hearing.
