India tops international student enrollment in the U.S. for 2023-2024

India has overtaken China as the top sender of students to the United States for the first time since 2009, with over 3,30,000 Indian students enrolled in U.S. higher education institutions in the 2023-2024 academic year. The total number of international students in the U.S. reached a record high, exceeding 1.1 million, contributing over $50 billion to the U.S. economy.
