Net shutdown, prohibitory orders after Beldanga clashes

Clashes erupted in Beldanga, Murshidabad, between two groups following a controversial message displayed at a Kartik Puja pandal, leading to vandalism and disruptions. Police arrested 17 individuals, enforced internet shutdowns, and implemented prohibitory orders to restore order. Despite the tensions, the traditional ‘Kartik er Lorai’ procession proceeded peacefully.
