Militants kill 7 paramilitary troops in Pakistan

Seven paramilitary troops were killed and 18 critically injured in a militant attack on a checkpoint in southwestern Pakistan early Saturday. The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack, which took place in the mountainous Kalat district. The BLA has recently intensified its operations, including a suicide bombing last week that killed 27 people at a railway station.
