CBI arrests two CBDT officers in Panaji for bribery over contractor bills

Two assistant account officers from CBDT, Panaji, Pankaj Kumar and Atul Wani, were arrested by the CBI on Friday for allegedly demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. The bribe was solicited in exchange for processing outstanding payments owed to a contractor, Kamlakant Chaturvedi, who had been providing manpower services to the Income Tax Department.
