R Vithya Ramraj eclipsed PT Usha’s 39-year-old meet record in the women’s 400m hurdles with a time of 56.23 seconds at the 63rd National Open Athletics Championships. She also secured gold in the 4x400m relay for the Railways team. Tamil Nadu’s Nithin and other athletes achieved record-breaking performances in various events.
