Prize purse tweaked for D Gukesh-Ding Liren battle

Chess’ governing body FIDE have made some interesting changes in regulations of World Championship match involving challenger D Gukesh of India. But it’s unclear if these tweaks are logical. The 14-game classical match between reigning champion Ding Liren of China and Gukesh is scheduled in Singapore from Nov 25 to Dec 13. The tiebreak provisions are also changed slightly.
