FSSAI sets this 45-day expiry condition for Swiggy, Zomato, BigBasket and other e-commerce companies

India’s food safety authority, FSSAI, has set new guidelines for online food platforms like Swiggy, Zomato, and BigBasket. The platforms must ensure delivered food products have at least 30% of their shelf life remaining or 45 days before expiry. This initiative aims to prevent the delivery of expired food and promote safe food handling.
