Para swimmer Aalam sets world record in open water
Mohammad Shams Aalam Shaikh, a paraplegic swimmer from Bihar, India, has set a world record by becoming the first person with paraplegia to complete the longest open water swim. He achieved this feat at the National Takshila Open Water Swimming Competition in Patna, covering 13 kilometers in the Ganga River. Aalam’s accomplishment was officially recognized by the World Records Union.
