Bespectacled Niyas Ahmad dispels doubters with a dash of brilliance

Niyas Ahmad, a ninth-grade student from Kasaragod, overcame poor eyesight and limited training to win gold in the sub-junior boys’ 100m final at the state schools’ athletic meet. Despite wearing thick glasses that were blurred by rain, Niyas clocked an impressive 12.40 seconds.
