Dehradun ends contracts with two garbage collection companies for non-compliance

Two Dehradun-based garbage collection companies had their contracts terminated due to failure to meet source segregation and household coverage targets. Fined Rs 25 lakh for negligence, the companies fell short on vehicle deployment, route mapping, and timely garbage transportation. They will continue operations until new agencies are appointed through fresh tenders.
