IMD predicts heavy rain in Chennai and neighboring districts due to cyclonic circulation

Districts like Chengelpet, Kanchipuram, and those along the coast from Villupuram to Ramanathapuram are also expected to see increased rainfall. This weather pattern is attributed to stronger easterlies and a cyclonic circulation over the Bay of Bengal.
