Indian folk singer Sharda Sinha passed away at the age of 72. She was known for her devotional Chhath songs. Political leaders and public figures mourned her death. They called her ‘Bihar Kokila’ and praised her contribution to folk music. Sinha’s songs were popular in Bihar and Jharkhand. She was awarded the Padma Bhushan, India’s third-highest civilian award.
