Sebi proposes a minimum investment threshold of Rs 1 crore for RBI-regulated originators and unregulated entities involved in securitisation. Private placements would be limited to 200 investors, with public issues required if exceeded. Securitized debt instruments should be issued in demat form. Comments on the proposal are sought until November 16.
