Centre extends tenure of Commission examining SC status for converts

The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment has extended the tenure of the commission examining Scheduled Caste status for religious converts by a year. Led by former Chief Justice K G Balakrishnan, the commission has been given until October 10, 2025, to submit its report.
