Bar & grill chain TGI Fridays files for bankruptcy
Casual dining chain TGI Fridays has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Texas. Its 39 company-owned US restaurants will stay open during the restructuring, while 56 US franchise locations and those in 40 other countries are unaffected. The pandemic and capital structure issues are cited as primary reasons for the filing.
