Earthquake of magnitude 5.8 strikes parts of Jharkhand
An earthquake measuring 3.6 on the Richter scale hit Jharkhand’s Khunti district around 9.20 am on Saturday, reported by a senior meteorologist. No immediate casualties or damage have been reported. Tremors were also felt in Jamshedpur and Kandra. The quake’s epicentre was 35 km from Ranchi, with a depth of five kilometres, according to the National Center for Seismology.
