Thousands of Hindus protest in Bangladesh, demand withdrawal of cases against their leaders

Approximately 30,000 Hindus protested in Chattogram, Bangladesh, demanding protection from attacks and withdrawal of sedition charges against 19 leaders. The minority group has reported over 2,000 attacks since August, citing insufficient protection from the interim government and growing Islamist influence. Further demonstrations are planned in Dhaka.
